10 WEEK SESSION


The Performing Arts Group was founded in 1995 by Patricia Andrews and teaches Acting Classes and Stage Performance to individuals interested in theatre arts and film. Classes are available to young people and adults. 10 week sessions (The Arts & Culture Centre) culminate in a full stage performance.

The Performing Arts Group encourages Youth Mentorship.

Adena Cahill is a performer with a variety of tastes. Her resume includes productions such as musicals Anything Goes (Reno Sweeney), Shrek (Princess Fiona), Godspell (Peggy), Cats (Jellylorum), and Chicago (Liz), and operas Dido & Aeneas (Sorceress), Rusalka (Woodsprite, u/s Jezibaba) and Cosi Fan Tutte (u/s Dorabella).

She is a folk vocalist for Kittiwake Dance Theatre, has toured Canada with National Youth Choir under Maestro Ivars Taurins, and collaborated with pianist Lisa Bokhelmann-Sells as a jazz singer.

Adena is in her final year of Classical Voical Performance study with Dr. Caroline Schiller at Memorial University of Newfoundland, having just spent the summer touring the island with Opera Roadshow and studying with Halifax Summer Opera Festival.

Adena is an accomplished dancer, practicing many styles and having performing in multiple showcases and videos both home and traveling. She is proud to be a senior member of hiphop crew Soul Steps, reigning champions of the Atlantic street dance event Hustle to Get Here, and works as a performer for Red Hot Productions, in rehearsals for the fifth Red Hot burlesque show in February.

Offstage she costumes and stage manages with companies such as Shakespeare By The Sea, and MUN Opera. Adena has taught with The Performing Arts Group and Camp Hollywood for many years as an acting, singing, and dance instructor, and currently also teaches private voice and piano lessons independently and with Etcetera Productions Studios. Looking forward to a wonderful year!
